Biography:

Shelby Gilmer is a civil litigator representing both plaintiffs and defendants in trials and appeals across a range of complex legal matters, including personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, construction law, contract law, and civil rights litigation.

Shelby graduated cum laude from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2023. While attending law school, she was an active member of the Moot Court Board competing in multiple competitions and winning the award for Best Oralist in a national constitutional law moot court competition. She also received several Dean Suzanne Reynolds Awards for earning the top grade in her class, including in legal research and legal writing.

Before joining DAS Law Group, P.A. as an attorney, Shelby built a diverse legal foundation through hands-on experience in both criminal defense and civil litigation. She worked as a legal assistant in both government and private practice, gaining invaluable insight into the complexities of the legal system from multiple perspectives. Her early professional background working in vastly different environments equipped her with a unique perspective and an ability to adapt to the differing needs and goals of her clients.

Since joining DAS Law Group, Shelby has had the privilege of representing a diverse range of clients in various civil matters, guiding them through each stage of litigation. She is committed to providing thoughtful, strategic advocacy and helping clients navigate complex legal disputes with care and dedication.

When not practicing law, she enjoys reading and spending time with her husband, Brightmon, her American Staffordshire, Red, and her cat, Peach.
